Tesla announced today that it is opening some Supercharging stations to non-Tesla electric car owners in the United States, and explained how it works.
According to Tesla, it now has more than 40,000 Supercharger stations around the world, with 15 minutes to make up for 200 miles of energy (about 321.87 kilometers).
If you are an electric car owner in the U.S. and want to go to a Tesla Supercharger now, how do you do it?
It’s simple. Non-Tesla owners can simply download the Tesla app and create an account, then bundle a credit card to access some of the Magic Dock-equipped Superchargers. It’s worth noting that these charging stations are currently located primarily in New York.
In the Tesla app, EV owners can see the charging station on a map and select the level you want to charge at, then simply grab the handle (CCS adapter) that sticks out of the Magic Dock and connect it to their car.
