]]> Samsung has released some first-party bands for the Galaxy Watch smartwatch, including a basic silicone band and a rich metal band. In addition, Samsung Galaxy Watch watches come with a standard connector so users can swap out the bundled band for any regular band. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series have additional luxury band options using carbon fiber.

The carbon fiber band from accessories manufacturer Pitaka is compatible with the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro watches. Lightweight (28 grams) but strong and modern. 100% carbon fiber material makes it very durable. The bracelet length of the band is adjustable and it comes with the tools needed to adjust the length.

The band also has a secure metal buckle that attaches magnetically, meaning it’s easy to put on and take off. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Series carbon fiber band retails for $89 in the U.S. (currently about RMB 611) and offers a 7-day return policy. Shipping is available worldwide, but users must pay customs fees.

The carbon fiber band for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series comes in only one color: black. So when used with a silver or any other color watch, it may look a little less effective than the black version.

]]> Samsung is offering the ability to control the camera on its smartphones through a paired Galaxy Watch. Previously the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series watches added zoom zoom controls, and now the new feature is starting to roll out to the Galaxy Watch 4 series.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have started a new software update that adds the ability to adjust the camera zoom controls through the Camera Controller app. However, to use this feature, connected smartwatches need to be running One UI 5.1, which has not yet been released for any Galaxy smartphone. the One UI 5.1 update is expected to roll out a few days after the release of the Galaxy S23 series.

The update also brings a new device diagnostic tool and some stability fixes. The new diagnostic tool allows checking if the smartwatch components (such as battery condition, display, microphone, speaker and charging) are working as expected. To use the new features, users need to use the Samsung Members app on a connected smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series software update firmware version micro R8x0XXU1GWA3 with a download size of 329MB. this update also brings a security patch for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic for January 2023. The new software update coincides with an update to the Galaxy Wearable app.
