On October 8, NIO announced that it will enter the markets of Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden with a “subscription model”, offering three models: ET7, EL7 (ES7), and ET5. The vehicle subscription period Ranges from 1 month to 60 months. This plan has been interpreted by the industry as a sales model of “rent only, not sell”.

Due to the strong willingness of European users to buy out, Weilai announced today the purchase price of the three models of ET7 / EL7 / ET5 in the German market, and the delivery will begin in early 2023.

ET7

  • The 75-degree version is 81,900 euros, about 601,000 RMB;
  • The 100-degree version is 90,900 euros, about 667,000 RMB;

EL7 (ES7)

  • The 75-degree version is 85,900 euros, about 630,000 RMB;
  • The 100-degree version is 94,900 euros, about 697,000 RMB;

ET5

  • The 75-degree version is 61,900 euros, about 454,000 RMB;
  • The 100-degree version is 70,900 euros, about 520,000 RMB;

BaaS

  • The starting price of ET7 is 69,900 Euros, about 513,000 RMB;
  • The starting price of EL7 is 73,900 Euros, about 542,000 RMB;
  • The starting price of ET5 is 49,900 Euros, about 366,000 RMB;
  • 75-degree battery rental is 169 Euros/month, about 1,200 RMB;
  • 100-degree battery rental is 289 Euros/month, about 2100 RMB.

Depending on the length of the subscription, European users can choose to rent a Weilai ET7 with a 75 gigawatt-hour battery pack at a price of 1,199 to 1,295 euros (about 8,801 to 9,505 RMB) per month. For EL7 (ES7) and ET5 cars, the minimum subscription period is one month.

Nio has previously allowed customers to rent batteries instead of buying them. Batteries are by far the most expensive component on an electric car. At the same time, instead of charging the car at home, NIO owners can drive the car to a battery replacement station and replace it with a new battery pack within minutes to save time.

New Chinese car manufacturers and new energy car companies are actively going overseas and deploying in the European market. As one of the pioneers of new Chinese car manufacturers, NIO entered the Norwegian market last year, and this year, it has successively entered Germany and Denmark. , the Netherlands and other countries. Recently, from September 21st to 30th, NIO will drive ET7 to visit 10 European cities, visit user advisory groups, partners, and colleagues, learn about the construction progress of cattle houses and swap stations in various places, and experience whether charging is convenient.

The new models of NIO, including ET7, ET5 and ES7, will also enter the European market, but it is worth noting that in the European market, ES7 has been renamed EL7. The reason for this is related to a previous Audi lawsuit.

In June, it was reported that Audi, which is owned by Volkswagen, filed a lawsuit in a Munich court alleging that NIO infringed Audi’s trademark rights.

Audi said NIO’s decision to name its two models ES6 and ES8 violated the trademark rights of Audi’s two models, the S6 and S8, and an Audi spokesman confirmed the lawsuit.

After the incident was exposed, netizens were not calm. After all, how to look at Audi’s lawsuit is somewhat unknown, but some people said that there is a high probability that Audi will also launch pure electric models of S6 and S8, and the prefix may use “ES”, so Just repeating with Nio, this can explain why Audi sued Nio.

Perhaps because of this, Nio ES7 changed its name to EL7 after entering the European market. After all, it is the home of others.

The Nio ES7 is now available for test rides in some cities. Nio is giving priority to individuals who have reservations. These select individuals will get the first try at taking this new electric vehicle for a spin. Nio made this information available via their application.

The test drive is not open to all cities, as it is limited to a selected number of cities in China. Among the cities where this test ride will hold are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Xi’an and Dongguan. The company also promises that it will add more cities to the test drive in the coming weeks.
