Sources say the upcoming Apple Watch Pro will be larger in body size than the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8 (which have yet to be released). Well-known tipster Sonny Dickson has shared new images comparing the size differences between these new Apple Watches.

Dixon’s sources say the Apple Watch Pro will measure 49mm, which is larger than the previously rumored 47/48mm. For comparison, the Apple Watch Series 7 measures 41mm and 45mm, and the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 is not much different in size from the Series 7.

Sources say the Apple Watch Pro has a flat-screen, equipped with a larger 49mm size, and the screen size is larger than the previously reported 1.99 inches and should be more than 2 inches. For comparison, the 41mm model of the Apple Watch Series 7 has a screen size of 1.691 inches, while the 45mm model has a screen size of 1.901 inches, making the Apple Watch Pro the Apple Watch with the largest screen.

Ahead of tomorrow’s early morning fall launch, high-resolution renders of the Apple Watch Pro have once again come to light. With these renders, you can get a better look at the smartwatch with a new design, a larger flat screen and new physical buttons.

These renders, a collaboration between renowned concept designers Ian Zelbo and Parker Ortolani, are based on the Apple Watch Pro CAD renders revealed yesterday. Until yesterday, little was known about the expected design of the Apple Watch Pro, except that it would be more rugged for athletes, hikers, runners, and more.

Redesign

The Apple Watch Pro will feature the first major redesign since the Apple Watch Series 4, with a rethought case design to reduce curvature and a completely flat display. Thanks to a flatter top design, the “Apple Watch Pro” display is expected to be much larger than the Series 7 and the upcoming Series 8.

The Apple Watch Pro has a more rugged look and feels, with new protruding housing for the digital crown and side buttons. Both are housed in molds that protrude outward from the right side of the watch, which makes them more accessible. The digital crown itself also gets a redesign to provide a more prominent indentation.

On the left side of the watch, the “Apple Watch Pro” is expected to feature a new physical button similar to the side button. The button is rumored to be configurable to the user’s preferences. It can be customized to open watchOS apps, start a specific workout, or even quickly run a shortcut without having to navigate the watch itself.

Bigger screen

With the larger display on Apple Watch Series 7, Apple has updated the visual elements in watchOS to make better use of the added space. The same is true for Apple Watch Pro and its larger display. Compared to 1.691 inches on the Series 7 and 1.901 inches in the 41 mm and 45 mm sizes, the “Apple Watch Pro” screen measures approximately 1.99 inches in the 49 mm case.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, on the Apple Watch Pro, customers can expect a new dial that takes advantage of the larger display. In addition, according to Gurman, Apple is expected to release a new line of bands designed specifically for the Apple Watch Pro. Existing bands are expected to be compatible with the Apple Watch Pro to some extent, but may not fit perfectly.

The new dials may have space to display metrics from workout and health data collected by the watch. The new dials complement improvements made in watchOS 9 that appear to be tailored to the larger Apple Watch, such as improvements during workouts to display additional metrics on a single screen.

More performance

In addition to the new design and larger display, the “Apple Watch Pro” will likely include all the improvements from Apple Watch Series 8, including a new temperature sensor. Unlike a typical thermometer, the temperature sensor is unlikely to provide the wearer with a direct temperature reading in earlier iterations.

Price

With a new design, larger display and more durable materials, the Apple Watch Pro is expected to sell for between $900 and $1,000. This new watch will be the most expensive Apple Watch to date and could replace the Apple Watch Edition at the top of the line.

After the reveal of the legendary Apple Watch Series 8 “Pro” case, there are two new reports that Apple will equip the new “Pro” smartwatch with a more fitness-focused band and dial design. In a tweet, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman wrote that the Apple Watch “Pro” has rounded sides like the Series 7. There are also rumors of additional buttons or a multi-function button that allows for user customization.

The multi-function button is said to launch specific apps, workouts, or other watch features. Then Mark Gurman talked about the Apple Watch “Pro” smartwatch ecosystem.

The report says it will feature “an information-intensive dial for displaying fitness metrics,” complemented by a new band with “a wide range” and a focus on extreme sports.

It’s unclear whether the old band will be available on the Apple Watch “Pro,” but other recent rumors have predicted that it will be larger and possibly priced at more than $900.

The Apple Watch Pro will be a high-end watch. Now, 91mobiles has presented the debut of the Apple Watch Pro via CAD renderings.

CAD renders from industry sources show an Apple Watch Pro with a larger display. It will feature the largest display yet on an Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Pro measures 49mm, meaning the device is quite thick.

Starting from the front, the Apple Watch Pro CAD rendering shows the large display with a very slim bezel. A noticeable redesign can be seen on the right side of the frame, including protrusions to accommodate the digital crown, microphone and multitasking buttons. It’s unclear if this form factor will also appear in the regular Apple Watch Series 8 models. Since it is the first Pro model for Apple Watch, we may also see some exclusive bands.

There appears to be a button on the left side of the Apple Watch Pro frame as well as a speaker port. The purpose of this additional button is unclear at this time.

The Apple Watch Pro is expected to have a larger screen (expanding to 1.99 inches) and battery, use the S8 chip and include a body temperature sensor. The model will also feature a sturdy titanium case and is expected to cost $900 to $1,000.

Apple will announce the new iPhone 14 lineup at its “Ultra Preview” event on September 8, according to the leak. The lineup will include the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus (or iPhone 14 Max), 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. The new lineup will mark the end of the road for the 5.4-inch “mini” form factor. The new lineup will mark the end of the road for the 5.4-inch “mini” form factor, which has only been released in two generations: iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini.

Apple is expected to announce the Apple Watch Series 8, the faster Apple Watch SE 2, and the new rugged Apple Watch Pro. According to Gurman, the AirPods Pro 2 is also expected to be announced during the event.

Mark Gurman via his Power On update gave some information on Apple’s coming products ahead of the September 7 launch event, but we’ll focus on just the Apple Watch Pro. This device will be the first of its kind from Apple, as it will take a different design trend. According to previous leaks, this new watch entry will aim for the rugged sports smartwatch market.

From the latest Power On update, we can tell that the coming Apple Watch Pro will retail at an expensive price. Its design will also be different from the other two watches we expect to launch at Apple’s September 7 launch event. So far, we can tell that this watch will appeal to a very curtailed niche of users.

Apple Watch Pro will join the company's watch line-up in a few months.

In terms of its design, the Watch Pro will come with a larger screen for more viewing space. It will also launch with a larger battery as well as a low power usage feature to enable users to push themselves further despite running low on battery. For the casing, this watch will launch with a Titanium build to help improve durability, since Apple intends it serves for rigorous workout activities.

According to Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Pro “won’t appeal to all consumers” due for certain reasons. One strong reason why this watch won’t appeal to most users is its pricing, which will sit somewhere within the $900-$1000 price point. Another reason will be its aggressive design, well, we need to wait and see things for ourselves during the launch event.

Apple has announced that it will hold a special “Far Out” event at 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 8. The event will still be held online and is expected to bring new products such as the iPhone 14 / Pro series, Apple Watch Series 8, and the launch of iOS 16. There will also be an Apple Watch Pro high-end watch.

Apple will announce a new high-end Apple Watch Pro at its “Far Out” event on Sept. 8, sources said. The new watch is rumored to have a more rugged design, possibly with a flat display and a redesigned case with a larger 1.99-inch display that measures between 47mm and 48mm.

According to Weibo blogger @UnclePan Uncle Pan broke the news, this year there is a watch with a screen size of 47mm / 48mm, the strap is common with the old model, but the new strap will be wider, which shows that the probability of square will be larger. In addition, the watch screen size is diagonal size, is possible to do accessories common.

While Apple has been slowly increasing the size of the Apple Watch over the years, it still maintains compatibility with older Apple Watch bands. Backward compatibility allows customers to upgrade their Apple Watch and continue to use their existing band without being forced to buy a new one.

The new Apple Watch Pro is expected to be aimed at athletes and customers who need a rugged watch. With that in mind, Apple may choose to offer a new line of Apple Watch bands designed for professional athletes that work with the Apple Watch Pro.

Apple is also expected to release the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2. The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to maintain the same design as the Series 7, but with improved battery life and a new body temperature sensor.

Apple has announced that it will hold a special Far Out event on September 8 at 1am Beijing time. The event will still be held online and is expected to bring new products such as the iPhone 14 / Pro series, Apple Watch Series 8, and the launch of iOS 16.

For more than a year, there have been rumors that Apple was looking into bringing satellite capabilities to the iPhone, and now word is that it’s likely to appear on the new iPhone 14 series. In addition to helping iPhone users report emergencies in areas without cellular service, sources now say Apple is also considering supporting satellite connectivity on Apple Watch Pro devices.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in its Power On newsletter says that the next generation of the rugged Apple Watch Pro could feature satellite connectivity.

"The company has also discussed internally the idea of offering satellite capabilities for its watches, which could make sense for future versions of the next generation of the more rugged Apple Watch Pro."

In today’s newsletter, Gurman discusses the importance of adding satellite connectivity to the iPhone.

"This is a step up from the current iPhone and Apple Watch capabilities to quickly call emergency services and provide them with a location. The prospect of having an iPhone to get first aid without a cellular connection is just the beginning of Apple's planning. Eventually, users will have access to the global Internet and be able to make regular phone calls via satellite links. The combination of fast 5G networks and satellite services could one day turn iPhone into the most powerful global communications device available."

While the rumored first-generation Apple Watch Pro is not expected to support satellite connectivity, the watch will also bring the usual high-end feature upgrades.

The Apple Watch Pro will reportedly be visually distinct from the newly designed Apple Watch Series 8, although rumors differ on whether it will have flat edges, and Gurman talks about the “evolution of the current rectangular shape.

One of the main changes to the Apple Watch Pro will be the materials used to make it. Currently, the Apple Watch is available in aluminum, stainless steel and titanium. The Apple Watch Pro will reportedly feature a “more durable titanium formula” as Apple works to make it as strong as possible.

In addition to the larger 1.99-inch display design, the Apple Watch Pro also reportedly has longer battery life. Longer battery life will be a key factor in the “durability” aspect of this “extreme sports model” of the Apple Watch.

Much like the Apple Watch Series 8, this new Apple Watch Pro is expected to add support for temperature measurement. While the Apple Watch cannot accurately measure body temperature, it will send an alert when it detects a rise in body temperature. Users can then use a traditional thermometer to accurately measure their temperature.

Apple has previously confirmed that they are going to host a launch event on September 7th, 2022. The latest 2022 iPhones along with the 10th Generation iPad are expected to launch at the same event. Now, a piece of information is hovering around which claims that the Apple Watch Pro may also launch at the same event.

Apple Watch Pro to launch on September 7!

Apple is expected to launch a new smartwatch at the September 7th event, the upcoming watch is going to be quite different from the standard Apple watch and is expected to boast a bigger display along with some improved set of specifications. The watch is claimed to have a flat display with very slight curvature towards the edges, which could possibly be flat. The gadget will be marketed as “Apple Watch Pro.”

Apple watch

The Apple Watch Pro’s casing might measure 47mm which will house a 1.99-inch display. It is definitely going to be bigger than the 1.7-inch display present on the current Apple Watch Series 7. An official announcement is expected to be on the way regarding the forthcoming watch.

According to a report by the Japanese website Mac Otakara, the so-called Apple Watch Pro extreme sports watch will have a larger 47mm case. By comparison, the Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes.

If the Apple Watch Pro comes with a 47mm case, its diagonal size could be 1.99 inches.

Citing information from “reliable sources,” the report also claims that the Apple Watch Pro will have a completely flat display, while the existing Apple Watch display has slightly curved edges.

The flat design will improve the durability of the Apple Watch Pro, which Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports will be a “rugged” model designed for intense activities like hiking and extreme sports.

In addition, the report says Apple is comparing the watch to the iPhone X, the first-generation Apple Watch and Apple Music as the “one more thing” – the final surprise of the event.

Other expected features of the Apple Watch Pro include a titanium case, longer battery life, an extended low-power mode, an S8 chip and more.

Apple is expected to launch two Apple Watch Series 8, iPhone 14 / Pro series, and the new Apple Watch Pro at the event in the early hours of September 8, Beijing time. The Apple Watch Pro is expected to start at around $799 to $999.

In Mark Gurman’s latest “power on” update, he noted a few things we should look forward to in the coming Apple Watch Pro. This product will launch alongside the iPhone 14 series later this year. According to Gurman, we will see a total of three watches from Apple. Of all three, the Pro model will be the most expensive.

Its expensive pricing will be a result of its new design and build quality. The following adjustments will come to the Apple Watch Pro, a larger screen, a bigger battery, and a temperature sensor. The new screen size in question will be 7% larger than the existing models and models that’ll grace the stage during the launch event.

Apple Watch Pro will join the company's watch line-up in a few months.
Apple Watch Pro will join the company’s watch line-up in a few months.

Well, Gurman gives us reason not to be excited about the new design of this Apple Watch. The new design won’t stray away from Apple’s rectangular watch face. All we should expect are some changes to the rectangular face and not a switch to a circular watch face.

To justify its pricing which reports say will be aggressive, it will come with a titanium body build. This build is suitable since the Watch Pro will also be a fitness device from Apple. Its overall build will keep it safe from cracking during any case of falling or during rigorous workout activities.

In less than two weeks we will see some smartwatch entries from one of Apple’s main rivals, Samsung. These watches will compete with the coming Apple watches for durability, design, and performance. There is no set date for Apple’s launch event, but we are certain that it’d be within the month of September or October.
