According to a report by the Japanese website Mac Otakara, the so-called Apple Watch Pro extreme sports watch will have a larger 47mm case. By comparison, the Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes.
If the Apple Watch Pro comes with a 47mm case, its diagonal size could be 1.99 inches.
Citing information from “reliable sources,” the report also claims that the Apple Watch Pro will have a completely flat display, while the existing Apple Watch display has slightly curved edges.
The flat design will improve the durability of the Apple Watch Pro, which Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports will be a “rugged” model designed for intense activities like hiking and extreme sports.
In addition, the report says Apple is comparing the watch to the iPhone X, the first-generation Apple Watch and Apple Music as the “one more thing” – the final surprise of the event.
Other expected features of the Apple Watch Pro include a titanium case, longer battery life, an extended low-power mode, an S8 chip and more.
Apple is expected to launch two Apple Watch Series 8, iPhone 14 / Pro series, and the new Apple Watch Pro at the event in the early hours of September 8, Beijing time. The Apple Watch Pro is expected to start at around $799 to $999.
