SpaceX employees: comfortable without Elon Musk, want him to focus on Twitter

According to reports, Elon Musk space exploration technology company SpaceX employees have said that Elon Musk’s focus on Twitter lets them breathe a sigh of relief because it brings them a more calm work environment.

Several current and former SpaceX employees say they don’t need Elon Musk to keep an eye on them every day. They also said that since Elon Musk took over Twitter in late October last year, the work atmosphere at SpaceX has become very calm.

The employees also point out that Elon Musk’s key role at SpaceX should be to set the company’s growth goals, such as colonizing Mars or helping NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) put humans on the moon again.

Elon Musk is said to be likely to give employees more work to do while he is engaged in the day-to-day management of operations at SpaceX. For example, these current and former employees claim that Elon Musk has previously arbitrarily ordered changes to product design to meet his personal preferences.

For example, SpaceX employees were asked to redesign technical hardware based on Elon Musk’s aesthetic views, which could take weeks to complete. They also added that some of Elon Musk’s requests have sometimes led to employees redesigning the product’s features again.

Last December, Elon Musk wrote on Twitter, “I’ll continue to run Tesla and SpaceX, but the team there is so good it usually doesn’t require anything from me.”

In Elon Musk’s absence, the day-to-day management of SpaceX is run by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Gwynne Shotwell, and NASA Administrator Bill Nelson has said that Shotwell had assured him that Elon Musk’s focus on Twitter would not affect SpaceX.

Last month, Elon Musk launched a Twitter poll asking his followers whether he should step down as Twitter CEO, and the final vote was in favor of Elon Musk doing so. Elon Musk said he would abide by the results of the poll.

As we all know, Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla as well as Twitter, SpaceX, tunneling company The Boring Company and brain-computer interface company Neuralink.

Data shows that Elon Musk’s private jet has not flown to SpaceX’s airport near the rocket launch site in Texas since October 14 last year.
