SpaceX and NASA successfully launch manned spacecraft

SpaceX and NASA successfully launched a manned spacecraft to the International Space Station in Florida on October 5 local time, carrying Russian cosmonauts for the first time, according to CCTV news.

NASA live feeds show SpaceX launching the Crew Dragon spacecraft with four astronauts aboard its reusable Falcon 9 booster to the International Space Station at around 12 p.m. EST on Wednesday. The spacecraft is expected to arrive at the station at around 5 pm on Thursday.

The four astronauts include mission commander Nicole Mann, the first Native American woman to travel to space, American astronaut Josh Casada, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kina.

After entering the International Space Station, the astronauts will live in an orbiting laboratory for five months and conduct more than 200 scientific experiments.
