Sources said Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will not participate in E3 2023

The company has confirmed that E3 2023 will be held from June 13 to June 16.

Last year’s E3 2022 was not held, and this year is considered a return. But it’s not entirely surprising that the big three game makers aren’t exhibiting at E3 – Sony didn’t attend E3 for the first time in 2019 and has been absent ever since. And Microsoft said last week that it will do a showcase in Los Angeles this summer, but didn’t call it E3. Nintendo has proven time and time again that the company can make big announcements through its direct meetings, so there’s no need to attend E3.

As E3 has gotten smaller, other stages have emerged for game publishers to make their big announcements, most importantly The Game Awards (TGA) and Summer Game Fest, both hosted by Geoff Keighley.
