Recently, a new Sony phone with the model number XQ-DS99 suddenly appeared on the Geekbench platform, and detailed parameters such as its processor were also announced. According to the parameters released by Geekbench, the XQ-DS99 is equipped with a Dimensity 8000 processor, has 12GB of memory, runs the Android 12 system, and scores 867 points in single-core running and 3484 points in the multi-core running.

It is reported that the Dimensity 8000 adopts TSMC’s 5nm process technology. The CPU part includes four 2.75GHz A78 cores and four 2.0GHz A55 cores. The GPU is Mali-G610, using the self-developed APU 580 architecture.

Although the core parameters have been exposed, it is not clear from the current data which Sony model this mysterious “XQ-DS99” corresponds to.

However, judging from the many Xperia series models that Sony has launched this year, this new machine will most likely follow its family-style design language and will outperform similar models in photography.
