Sony Electronics Inc. on August 11th released a software update for the Xperia PRO and Xperia PRO-I smartphones that enables new external monitor capabilities.
The External Monitor feature on the Xperia PRO and Xperia PRO-I will now include Livestreaming, Wave Form, and False Color capabilities. The Wave Form monitor function examines the exposure and RGB balance. The False Color function on the other hand aids in iris setting selection by making certain exposure details more visible. Finally, the External Monitor software update will also provide additional control features for selected Alpha cameras on the Xperia PRO. The External Monitor feature on the Xperia PRO will include a trigger function for Rec/Stop via USB-C cable, as well as status visibility on screen for REC status, shutter speed, F-number, ISO, and EV Indication.
This update now allows creators to livestream using their Sony Alpha camera via the External Monitor feature on their Xperia PRO or Xperia PRO-I. This enables creators to share livestream videos in stunning Sony Alpha quality.
This update has been made available to all Xperia PRO and Xperia PRO-I owners from August 12, 2022 via a push notification.
