Sony today announced that it will revise the shipping prices and suggested retail prices of a total of 129 products sold in Japan, including digital mirrorless cameras, E-mount micro camera lenses, Blu-ray disc recorders, camcorders, portable audio players (including Walkman), and radios, by an average of about 8% from September 1, 2022.
Sony Marketing explained that the price adjustments were made “in response to the recent external environment that has led to an increase in raw material, manufacturing and logistics costs”.
The price increases include the high-end Walkman NW-WM1ZM2, Walkman S series NW-S315, SRS-WS1 wearable neck speaker, mirrorless camera α7 III and α6600 all-in-one zoom lens kit, FE 16-35mm interchangeable lens and FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM and Sonnar T* FE 35mm F2.8 ZA, as well as some BD recorders, IC recorders, etc.
