Solidigm’s first consumer SSD, the P41 Plus, is priced at around $600 for 1TB

August 12, 2012 – Solidigm has officially launched its first consumer NVMe SSD product, Solidigm P41 Plus, which adopts PCIe 4.0×4 specification and offers 512GB, 1TB and 2TB specifications.

According to computerbase, the overseas price of the SSD series has been announced: $50 (about RMB 337) for 512GB, $90 (about RMB 606.6) for 1TB and $170 (about RMB 1145.8) for 2TB.

The Solidigm P41 Plus has a five-year warranty, with 200TBW for the 512GB version, 400TBW for the 1TB version and 800TBW for the 2TB version. In terms of speed, the Solidigm P41 Plus SSD has a sequential read capability of 4125MB/s, a sequential write capability of 3325MB/s, and a random read capability of 390K IOPS and a random write capability of 540K IOPS.

Solidigm was formerly part of Intel’s storage business and later married with SK Hynix, so it has inherited a lot of Intel and SK Hynix’s technology in storage products, and Solidigm has already launched D7 / D5 / D3 series SSD products in data center and enterprise applications. This technology can intelligently speed up common usage scenarios by monitoring Solidigm storage drives to intelligently identify high-priority data and bring speed improvements.
