Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 specs leaked, reveals new upgrades

Samsung’s entry into the foldable market was successful due to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The sales of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 were reportedly responsible for most of the revenues in the company’s foldable segment. While the device was nowhere near being price-friendly with a price tag of $999. So, it was obvious that Samsung wasn’t going to stop here. There were rumors of the company developing a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and finally the leaker, Yogesh Brar, revealed the specs earlier today via Twitter. 

Some of the leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 4 were already online. The leaks covered the renders and some of the specs. But the tipster has finally provided a clear look at the key specs of the upcoming foldable device from Samsung. 

This smaller foldable from Samsung will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Qualcomm revealed this new chip last month and it offers 30% power efficiency compared to the previous generation. Along with, 20% better performance and a 10% boost in the clock speed of the CPU and GPU. If these specs are accurate, then the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have better battery life and performance compared to its predecessor.

The tipster has also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will feature a 3,700mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 10W wireless charging speed. This means the new Flip 4 is getting a 400mAh higher battery capacity and faster-wired charging. The battery capacity has been mentioned in the previous leaks also. This confirms that Samsung may be truly targeting a bigger battery for the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Some of the leaked specs also show that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is similar to the Flip 3 in some areas. This list includes 8GB memory, 128GB or 256GB internal storage, a dual 12MP camera system in the back, and a 10MP selfie camera. 

The device will reportedly carry a 6.7” FHD+ foldable OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The external display will reportedly be slightly bigger; 2.1” compared to the 1.9” on the previous version.
