Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be released in the early hours of February 2, according to previous news and score information, the series is equipped with a customized high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, CPU frequency will be as high as 3.36GHz, known as “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy”.

According to the latest revelations, this is not the last time Samsung will have exclusive access to a high-frequency Snapdragon chip. Tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will also feature a similar Snapdragon for Galaxy custom chip until Samsung’s own Exynos chips can compete with Snapdragon again.

Samsung’s Exynos chipset (designed by Samsung’s Systems LSI division) has underperformed over the past few years, always performing somewhat worse than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset and having performance issues under sustained workloads and cellular networks, resulting in poor battery life. In recent years, the Galaxy S series has increasingly used Snapdragon chips.

According to previous news, Samsung’s smartphone division (Samsung MX) created its own team of engineers to design processors specifically for high-end Galaxy smartphones. The first chip of the new division will be unveiled in 2025 along with the Galaxy S25 series, so we can look forward to seeing if Samsung can make a clean sweep.
