Russian space group: the first spacecraft with a faulty cooling system crashed into the Pacific Ocean

The Russian state space group said the unburned wreckage of the Progress MS-21 cargo spacecraft with a leaking cooling system crashed into non-navigable waters in the Pacific Ocean, according to Rosatom.

The Progress MS-21 spacecraft was de-orbited today, entered the atmosphere and disintegrated, and its unburned part crashed into non-navigable waters of the South Pacific Ocean.

“The Progress MS-21 spacecraft left the space station at 5:26 Moscow time on February 18. The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to the public.

Since no damage was found during the photo shoot, the scheduled spacecraft de-orbit was delayed to analyze the information obtained. Ultimately, it was decided to let the spacecraft crash into the sea.
