The Operating System Industry Summit 2022 will be held on December 28. As of now, the cumulative installed capacity of the Euler series has exceeded 3 million sets, and the new market share of China’s server operating systems has exceeded 25%.

At the meeting, the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with a number of institutions and manufacturers, jointly released the openEuler-based RISC-V commercial distribution version “Aolai 2.0-RV”.

As an open source operating system that supports diverse computing power, openEuler supports six major processor architectures: x86, Arm, RISC-V, LoongArch, SW64, and Power. Aolai 2.0-RV focuses on the RISC-V instruction set and can provide multiple operating environments such as desktops, emulators, and hardware boards.

Academician Ni Guangnan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering said in his keynote speech that the openEuler community has reached the international level. At the same time, Euler has entered the world’s advanced ranks in supporting RISC-V basic software. The Euler community RISC-V SIG group was established in April 2020, and has completed 6,000+ software source package adaptations, and the number of RPM packages in the RISC-V mirror warehouse exceeds 23,000.

The openEuler Summit 2022 and openGauss Summit 2022 will also bring new progress and major releases of openEuler and openGauss technology, ecology and business today.
