Now, we have an official teaser coming from Xiaomi which teases the launch of the forthcoming Redmi A1 smartphone in India. Let’s see what the brand has to say about the upcoming device.
Redmi A1 India launch expected during “Diwali with Mi”
Xiaomi India hosts its biggest sale in the country during the Diwali festival and it has been termed “Diwali with Mi.” The brand has now shared a teaser image of its upcoming launches during Diwali with Mi timeline. They have also highlighted the text A1 in the tweet, which definitely aims at the upcoming Redmi A1 smartphone.
The phone has already been spotted on multiple certification websites as well as a benchmarking website. The Redmi A1 could be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, according to a report. It is likely to be codenamed Ice. The device has been said to be an entry-level smartphone, priced around 8,000 INR ($100) in India. However, we should take this information with a pinch of salt as we don’t have any proper information on the same.

It’s looking like the brand will launch two of its new budget-oriented smartphones – Redmi A1 and Redmi A1+ very soon. According to the [previous report, the rumoured Redmi A1 was spotted with the model number 220733SI on the BIS India website. This suggests that the device could be released in India as well. According to the tipster Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz), the Redmi A1 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It will measure dimensions of 164.67mm in length and about 76.56mm in width.
