Red flag pure electric H5 revealed: equipped with FAW’s self-developed 111kWh all-in-one CTP power cell assembly

With the passing of the new crown epidemic, major car companies have resumed or will soon resume production capacity.

Xinhua previously reported that FAW Hongqi’s Ulsan plant started production at 50 units per hour on May 1 and achieved a daily production climb to 1,160 units in just five days. By the end of May, FAW Hongqi Ulsan Plant had achieved a record high monthly production of about 43,100 units, including 31,800 units for the Red Flag brand, exceeding the production target.

Red Flag H5 is a mid-size trim level sedan launched by FAW Hongqi, Red Flag’s homegrown plant, in 2018, with the latest model year being 2022 and an official guide price of 14.58-19.08 million yuan.

According to the online market, the Ulsan plant of Red Flag will put into production a new model codenamed E001, with the product name Red Flag Pure Electric H5, which will be marketed as the brand’s key model for electric drive. This new car life cycle of 7 years, is expected to September next year mass production, annual production capacity of 80,000 units, is expected to be around 200,000 yuan, the main focus of “professional, safe, premium”.

It is said that the Red Flag H5 is expected to adopt the Red Flag pure electric front, similar to the E-HS9, with a length, width and height of 498818751470mm and a wheelbase of 2920mm, which is longer than the current hot model BYD Han (4980mm), with the exact same wheelbase.

The new car power, red flag pure electric H5 will be equipped with 111kWh power battery. This battery is FAW’s first self-developed all-in-one CTP power battery assembly, with high safety, high energy, 20 minutes of ultra-fast charging three major features, worth looking forward to.
