Qualcomm has released three different mobile chipsets based on 4nm finfet technology. Those SoCs are the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and the Snapdragon 7 Gen1. The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 was cursed enough for its performance thrilling and poor heat management technology. However, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 brings significant improvements over its predecessor.
Snapdragon 6 Gen1 specifications leaked; what’s new?
Known tipster Evan Blass has confirmed that the brand is gearing up for the launch of the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset. He also leaked the full specs sheet for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which reveals that it is a 4nm chip with the product number SM6450. It is compatible with 5G networks as well as Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology.
Smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will also be able to record 4K HDR films at 30 frames per second and slow-motion footage at 240 frames per second. The screenshot posted by Blass shows 240 FPS slow-mo video recording at 270p, which could be a typo and the actual resolution is 720p. You can view the specifications sheet below.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC features a Kryo CPU clocked at up to 2.2GHz, however, the number of cores is unknown. The chip can support displays with up to FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, as well as a 108MP camera.
