Porsche China Recalls 561 Imported 911 Series Cars Over Windshield Bonding Issue

0

Porsche Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recently filed with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products”. Starting from April 22, 2024, some imported 911 series vehicles with production dates from September 18, 2020 to February 7, 2024 will be recalled, a total of 561 vehicles.

For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the windshield was not sufficiently cleaned during production, resulting in insufficient bonding with the body. In a collision accident, the front windshield glass may become loose and cannot support the airbag to fully deploy, affecting the protection effect of the occupants and posing safety risks.

IT Home learned from the announcement that Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the front and rear windshields of the vehicles within the recall scope for free through authorized dealers. If they do not meet the requirements, they will be replaced to eliminate safety hazards.
