PepsiCo is partnering with Apple to offer free Apple Music access to Pepsi drinkers this summer, PepsiCo said today as it launched its “Press Play on Summer Campaign.

In the advertising blitz, Pepsi will offer 400 million 20-ounce (about 591 millilitres) bottles of Pepsi, Pepsi No Sugar and more with Apple Music QR codes. The codes, available starting today, will provide new customers with a free three-month Apple Music membership, live Apple Music events and Beats headphones.

Pepsi plans to advertise the promotion throughout the summer, starting with an ad for Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, the 2022 Apple Music Artist of the Year and the album “Un Verano Sin Ti,” Apple Music’s most streamed album of 2022.

Free Apple Music code ads will appear on television, social networks and other locations such as gas stations and convenience stores.

PepsiCo and Apple first partnered in 2003 when PepsiCo offered 100 million song downloads from the iTunes Store.
