October 18, 2011 – UAE tech giant G42 and OpenAI have announced a partnership to deliver advanced AI solutions to the UAE and broader regional markets, covering financial services, energy, healthcare and public services.

G42, or Group 42, was founded in 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company has clients in the government sector, healthcare, finance, oil and gas, aviation and hospitality.

In September, Microsoft also announced that it would expand its partnership with Abu Dhabi, UAE-based artificial intelligence and cloud computing vendor “G42 Group” to develop AI technology in a number of areas, as well as provide cloud computing infrastructure services in the UAE.

Last month, G42 Group unveiled its latest AI achievement, which it describes as “the world’s highest-quality Arabic AI model for large languages”.

G42 Group, which is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is also involved in cloud computing and self-driving cars, in addition to AI. Last year, the group launched its $10 billion “42X Fund,” which it says will invest in a variety of tech companies in emerging market countries.
