OnePlus has launched its latest model, the OnePlus 10T, and changed its launch strategy for the year to launch a non-Pro model in the second half of the year. This meant it had to cut some specs to achieve lower pricing, but the 10T actually beat the 10 Pro in some ways.

The OnePlus 10T comes with an OLED with a resolution of 1080 x 2412px, support for refresh rates of up to 120Hz and 10-bit color depth, and HDR10+ compliance. It measures 6.7 inches diagonally (the same as the 10 Pro), but with a standard OLED panel instead of the more advanced LTPO2.

Compared to the 10 Pro, the OnePlus 10T model in the U.S. market has a built-in Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip paired with 8GB or 16GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, while the Indian market offers a 12GB/256GB option. At the launch, OnePlus also highlighted a new 3D cooling system.

To keep costs low, OnePlus has significantly downgraded the camera hardware compared to the 10 Pro. The advanced ultra wide-angle camera and 3x telephoto unit have been replaced with the usual 8MP ultra wide-angle and 2MP macro cameras. The good news is that the main Sony IMX766 sensor used in the 10 Pro is unchanged, and the f/1.8 aperture and optically stabilized lens have not been reduced. The front selfie camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with a large 1.0-micron pixel and f/2.4 aperture.

The OnePlus 10T has a 4800mAh battery, supports up to 150W SuperVOOC charging, and comes with a 160W power adapter, perhaps the same one used for the Realme GT Neo3 150W version. However, the charging power of the phone is capped at 125W in countries with a prevailing 110V voltage.

On the other hand, OnePlus has introduced a battery health engine that claims to greatly reduce battery wear and tear, and the battery can still maintain about 80% of its usable capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.

The OnePlus 10T is available in Moonstone Black and Jade Green body colors. Pre-orders in Europe starting today, with shipping beginning August 25. The base 8/128GB model is €699/£629, while the 12/256GB version is €799/£729. In the U.S., the 8/128GB model starts at $649 and the premium version at $749. Pre-orders open on September 1 at OnePlus stores, Amazon and Best Buy, while shipping begins on September 29.
