Nreal, the world’s leading consumer-grade AR glasses brand, held its first AR glasses launch in China in Beijing, launching Nreal X, the world’s first full-featured AR glasses in glasses form and exploring unlimited scene applications of augmented reality technology, for the Chinese market.
The device is priced at 4,299 yuan and officially goes on sale at 10 a.m. on August 29 in Jingdong.
It is reported that Nreal X is a full-featured AR glasses for global developers, pioneer creators and technology tasters, and is the first product launched by Nreal and the world’s first consumer-grade AR glasses.
In terms of design, Nreal X adopts the aesthetic design of fluid sci-fi, with binocular SLAM camera and RGB camera, matte skin-friendly material shell and dazzling black color scheme, combined with lightweight design, the whole machine weighs only 106g.
Officially, Nreal X is based on the AR six-degree all-true space created by the self-developed 6DoF (degree of freedom) spatial positioning intelligence algorithm of instant localization and map building (SLAM), using only two SLAM cameras.
With the minimum cost/number of sensor combinations, it can be compared to high-cost enterprise-class AR headset in terms of accuracy and stability, with the current first-class full-dimensional spatial perception capability in XR devices, which enables users to feel real spatial integration, real physical interaction, and explore full-scene AR applications.
Nreal X provides a pure 6DoF native AR experience for six degrees of full-real AR space, in which consumers can explore various AR novelties and enjoy AR games, AR movies and videos, AR education, AR social, AR office, AR sports and other applications created by Nreal and its overseas and domestic developers and ecological partners, opening up a full-scene AR life.
It is worth noting that this time, Nreal has jointly developed a number of customized AR content platforms exclusively with Akiyip, China Mobile MIGU, Azure and Racer.
Nreal founder and CEO Xu Chi said that compared to the stage when he first started his business a few years ago, people no longer doubt whether AR is the next-generation computing platform or not, but when exactly it will arrive.
This at least shows that Nreal is on a difficult but right path, and today it has taken a small step towards the future. And in the face of the question “When will the era of AR arrive?” Xu Chi believes that it will be sooner than many people think.
