The Nothing OS 1.5.4 update has been pushed to the world, solving some problems and bringing an optimized experience.

This update is about 119 MB and is being rolled out in phases, so users can go to Settings > System > System Updates to check if it is available.

The updated content:

One of the most important changes in this update is the new feedback feature that allows users to report any issues or make suggestions to the developers. This new feature helps developers to continuously improve the OS.

The update also reduces standby power consumption by optimizing the 4G/5G network switching feature. This optimization ensures that users use less power when their phone is idle, which means they can enjoy a longer battery life. The Bluetooth feature in the shortcut settings has also been optimized to make it easier to access paired devices.

The update introduces smoother QR code transactions by scanning the UPI QR code directly from the camera app and selecting the payment app on the device to complete the transaction, which is only available in select regions.

The update optimizes the fingerprint unlock experience to be more responsive and accurate; pop-up view animations are now smoother and provide a more seamless experience.

Other improvements include integration with Google Security Center and NDot Cyrillic font support for Belarusian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.

The update also addresses several issues reported by users, including freezing during pop-up views, improved notification display in Quick Settings, error messages during face unlock settings, and faster incoming call notifications.

In addition to this update, the Nothing Phone (1) will also be pushing an Android 14 Beta 1 update to beta testers in the coming weeks, with a new Nothing Phone (2) phone due out this summer.
