Nio said at the press conference that the 150kWh battery pack will be launched in July. The battery uses solid electrolyte, silicon-carbon composite negative electrode material, and ultra-high nickel positive electrode material, with a single energy density of 360Wh/kg. From the details shown at the press conference, it can be seen that the ES6 with this battery pack, CLTC has a pure electric range of 930 kilometres and the battery pack supports battery replacement.

Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of Nio, said that the cost of a 150 kWh battery is very high, and the cost is equivalent to an ET5 (Note: The 75kWh battery version costs 328,000 CNY and the lease price is 258,000 CNY). Therefore, consumers can choose to lease the battery pack and only need to pay the battery rental service fee on a monthly basis. It is said that “the battery pack uses ultra-high nickel positive electrode + pre-lithiated silicon carbon negative electrode + solid electrolyte (solid + liquid) + separator, which belongs to the transitional technology from liquid to solid battery”, which can bring users longer mileage and More convenient battery replacement service.

After inquiry, it is learned that NIO’s 150kWh battery pack has the same volume as NIO’s 100kWh and 75kWh battery packs. It uses a solid-liquid hybrid electrolyte and has an energy density of 360Wh/kg, which is higher than that of CATL’s Kirin battery (255Wh/kg). , a single charge can last up to more than 1000km.
