Nikon today announced the launch of a Nikkor Z 70-180mm f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens, priced at 8,899 RMB by the Bank of China, and will go on sale on July 13.

According to reports, the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 is a telephoto zoom lens compatible with full-frame/FX format digital mirrorless cameras using the Nikon Z mount, with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the focal length range. The overall length is about 151mm and the weight is about 795 grams.

The lens uses a stepping motor (STM) for fast autofocus. In addition, the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 has a minimum focusing distance of approximately 0.27m at the maximum wide-angle position and a maximum reproduction ratio of approximately 0.48x, making it useful for close-up shots of flowers and animal faces.

The main selling points of this lens are attached:

 Covering a mid-telephoto to telephoto focal length range from 70mm to 180mm, it supports a variety of scenes and subjects.
