Since August 1, 2022, nationwide (including the national air pollution prevention key areas) to remove the restrictions on the relocation of small non-operating used cars that meet the National V emission standards, to promote the free flow of used cars and enterprises across regional operations.
After the full abolition of the relocation restrictions, the circulation will become faster, and for consumers, the relocation restrictions will be lifted in cities that previously could not be relocated due to the “National V” emission standard, and the cheap used cars will be able to flow in smoothly.
This move can activate the used car market and promote car-renewal consumption.
China Automobile Dealers Association data show that in 2021, China’s used car transactions reached 17,585,100 units, an increase of 22.62%; the transaction amount reached 113.1692 billion yuan, an increase of 27.32%, so the used car market is still very large.
After the implementation of the new policy, the volume of used car transactions in China is expected to grow significantly this year, which will play a key role in further activating the used car market.
