New Concept Vehicle Debuts Toyota’s New Car Lineup for Beijing Auto Show

We have obtained a set of Toyota China’s new car lineup at the Beijing Auto Show from relevant channels. A new electric concept car and the GAC Toyota bZ4X ROBOTAXI version will be launched. At the same time, the Camry 2.5L dual-engine version and the new Yaris are expected to be released. Toyota will join hands with Chinese partners in various fields to achieve new development and evolution.

From the perspective of new cars, Toyota will debut a pure electric concept car at the Beijing Auto Show. This car represents Toyota’s design concept of electrification and intelligence. It is worth mentioning that this car will be mass-produced and launched within the year, let us look forward to it together. In addition, the Camry and the new Prado (parameters | inquiry) will be equipped with dual-engine technology to showcase Toyota’s latest achievements in the hybrid field.

Among them, Camry is expected to add a 2.5L dual-engine version, which has been declared before. For reference, the Camry currently on sale is a 2.0L dual engine. Judging from the declaration information, the new car will be equipped with a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine paired with a hybrid system. The engine can output a maximum power of 136kW.

The new Prado started pre-sales on February 29 this year, priced at 470,000-570,000 RMB. At the Beijing Auto Show on April 25, high-end models will make their debut and be finalized, and are expected to be officially launched on July 16. At the auto show, we expect to see its 2.4T super hybrid version.

In Intelligent Toyota, Toyota will also have new partners to join. At the same time, the bZ4X ROBOTAXI version jointly launched by Toyota and Pony.ai will also be unveiled at the auto show. On August 4, 2023, Toyota China signed an agreement with Pony.ai and GAC Toyota on the establishment of a joint venture related to self-driving taxis (Robotaxi), and plans to launch prototypes of Toyota brand pure electric vehicles produced by GAC Toyota. Robotaxi vehicles are equipped with the PCS (pre-collision safety system) function of Toyota’s T-Pilot intelligent driving assistance system. They will also give full play to the advantages of Toyota’s TPS (Toyota Production System) and utilize the mature service operation system of GAC Toyota dealers to provide small Ma Zhixing Robotaxi’s completely unmanned safe operation guarantees the safety.

In addition to new energy and intelligence, Toyota will also demonstrate its diversity. For example, the new GR YARiS, which has released official photos overseas, is expected to appear at the auto show to showcase the different layouts of the Toyota brand.
