MNT Pocket Reform Mini Laptop Announced: 7-inch Screen, Linux System, Starting at $899

MNT, a German company that develops open-source hardware and software, has recently launched a 7-inch screen laptop, the MNT Pocket Reform, on the crowdfunding site Crowd Supply.

Measuring 200 x 126 x 45 mm and weighing 1.1 kg, the MNT Pocket Reform features a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution LCD screen, 8GB of DDR4 memory and 128GB of eMMC flash memory with a MicroSD card reader and an M.2 2280 slot for expanded storage.

The MNT Pocket Reform comes with a 60-key Kevlar Choc White mechanical shaft with RGB backlighting. The MNT Pocket Reform has an 8000mAh battery that charges via the built-in USB-C port and lasts up to 4 hours.

In terms of processors, the MNT Pocket Reform features a modular CPU, memory, etc. The standard processor is the NXP i.MX 8M Plus with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores at 1.8 GHz, Vivante GC7000UL GPU and NPU units.

The machine comes with a pre-installed Linux operating system with optional Debian GNU / Linux, GNOME 4, and Sway desktop environment.
