August 10 – Multiple sources have recently revealed that Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series is at risk of delays due to the epidemic, supply chain, geopolitics and other reasons. And Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo denied these claims.

Ming-Chi Kuo said that despite recent investor concerns that volume production and shipping times for the iPhone 14 Pro series could be impacted by geopolitics, his recent research shows that the iPhone 14 Pro series supply chain is currently unaffected.

The iPhone 14 series will debut in mid-September with four new models, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

A previous JP Morgan report concluded that forecasts for iPhone 14 stockpiles are more conservative than the iPhone supply chain expected. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will likely begin mass production in early August, with higher-tier iPhone 14 Pro Max starting production at the end of August and expanding production in early to mid-September.

And according to CSI, Foxconn’s Shenzhen Longhua plant raised its iPhone assembly business recruitment bonus to $6,480 in late July in response to demand for Apple’s iPhone 14 mass production work.

According to a research report by Cinda International, the iPhone 14 series has started trial production and Apple plans to start mass production in August and has informed suppliers that initial sales after the launch are expected to be higher than the iPhone 13 series a year ago.

In addition, the Taiwan media reported in early July that Hon Hai’s Foxconn Zhengzhou plant has begun to enter the production cycle of the new generation of Apple cell phones, including the back shell of some institutional parts are entering a slow production capacity phase, is expected to usher in the scale of mass production assembly of the whole machine in August. As in previous years, Apple’s supply chain capacity will gradually climb and enter peak production at the end of July, with mass assembly of the entire machine starting in August and continuing through the end of the year.

On August 7, the Taiwan Economic Daily reported that the smartphone market is in the doldrums, and the supply chain is rumored to have recently expanded the total initial stock of new iPhone 14 series against the trend, with a high target of 95 million units, an increase of about 5% compared to previous expectations, so as to capture the non-Apple market, TSMC, Hon Hai, DALY, ZEN-DIN-KY, Huatong and other Apple supply chain shipments to enhance the trend.
