Microsoft Xbox Series X|S not only able to play “Halo: Infinite”, “Extreme Racing: Horizon 5” and other 3A masterpiece, now also able to run Windows 98 system, including a series of classic PC games, such as “Thor’s Hammer”, “Half-Life”, “Dinosaur Hunter” and so on.
This is thanks to the DOSBox Pure emulator and the Retroarch front-end. With these programs, Digital Foundry has achieved this feat and shared a demo video.
With the implementation running Windows 98, users can now play a wide range of PC classics on the Xbox Series X|S: Starcraft, Mysterious Island, Bode’s Gate, Microsoft Flight Simulator 98, and more.
The folks at Archades Games have released their own video demonstrating how to install Retroarch on the Microsoft Xbox Series X|S.
