Microsoft today released a stable update to Microsoft Edge browser 111.0.1661.54. In addition to fixing security vulnerabilities, the most notable improvement in this update is allowing IT administrators to adjust the Edge sidebar.

The updated content is as follows

The Microsoft Edge sidebar allows users to access productivity tools side-by-side in the browser window. This release continues to enhance sidebar functionality to increase productivity and improve the user experience.

With this release, administrators can now disable the Discover application. If users want to hide their sidebar instead of always showing it, they can do so in their sidebar settings (edge://settings/sidebar).

Additionally, enterprise users can choose to “always show” or “autohide” when the sidebar is “enabled” by the administrator. Future versions of Microsoft Edge plan to offer more customization options for the sidebar toolbar buttons.
