Microsoft 365 adjustment: Outlook mailbox attachments will be counted as OneDrive storage space

0

Microsoft has announced a round of major adjustments to Outlook, for example, Microsoft 365 subscription users can no longer attach personalized email addresses to their Outlook.com inboxes.

In addition, Microsoft also said that after February 2, 2023, attachments to Outlook mailboxes will also count against users’ OneDrive storage space quotas, so users should check whether they have enough space left on their OneDrive cloud drive. It is reported that Microsoft has started to notify Microsoft 365 customers of the above changes it will make.

Microsoft previously provided 1TB of capacity for Office 365 Premium users and only 15GB of space for free users. If you often send larger files or you have the habit of keeping thousands of emails in your inbox, you will need to make time to clear out some space.

It’s worth noting that to help with the transition, Microsoft also says it will provide users with an additional 50GB of free cloud storage for one year after February 2, 2023, to give them enough time to clean up or back up their files.
