MG released the official image and promotional video of the production version of its new open-top electric sports car Cyberster. The official said that this is China’s first two-door two-seat open-top electric sports car. In addition, MG officially stated that the car will make its offline debut in July.
MG Cyberster adopts a two-door, two-seater body design, and is equipped with a soft-top convertible mechanism, and the top is available in black and red. The car also uses some of the design elements from the concept car, such as the arrow-shaped taillights and the shape of the rear surround diffuser. It is worth mentioning that the car also uses scissor doors.
According to the new car declaration information released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberster production version will provide a variety of rim styles to choose from, and there are two sizes of 19 inches and 20 inches. At the same time, the car also launched the optional configuration of the black brand logo. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the Cyberster production version are 4535/1913/1329 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2690 mm.
According to the information declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberster mass-produced version will launch three power versions, among which the rear-drive version is equipped with high-power and low-power drive motors. The maximum power of the low-power drive motor is 231 kilowatts, and the high-power drive maximum power of the electric motor is 250 kW; the four-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 150 kW for the front drive motor and 250 kW for the rear drive motor.
