The Mercedes-Benz pure electric G-Class EQG is expected to debut next spring and go on sale in early 2025. Recently, company CEO Ola Karenius showed off the new car’s off-road capabilities in a video.

The All electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class has changed the front grille to a closed design, and added LED light sources in many parts of the body, such as the grille frame, body waistline, roof and other parts. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a 22-inch rim with surface cutting technology and a concave “pot lid” rim style.

The pure electric G-class will be equipped with 4 motors, each of which drives a wheel and can be controlled independently. With the support of the electronic control system, the pure electric G-class can realize functions such as “tank U-turn (G-turn)”. At the same time, the car will provide three kinetic energy recovery modes, namely D+, D, and D-, and support multiple driving modes of Eco, Comfort, Sport, Trail, Rock, Sand, and Creeper.

Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed the power information of the EQG, but based on the performance of the EQS 580 SUV 4MATIC model, the maximum power of the pure electric G-Class is expected to be between 609-679 horsepower. In terms of battery life, it is expected that the maximum battery life of the pure electric G-Class may be around 500 kilometers.
