GAC Aion Automobile enters Cambodia, its second overseas market after Thailand

On December 2, at a grand press conference held at AEON 3 Mall in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, GAC Aion and Cambodia Xinghui Automobile announced their official entry into the Cambodian market and the release of the AION Y PLUS model. This is also the second overseas market that Aion has officially opened globally after its first entry into Thailand.

In addition, GAC Aion launched home charging pile installation services in Thailand, starting from Thailand and radiating into the Southeast Asian market.

GAC Aion sold 41,567 vehicles in November, a year-on-year increase of 45%; cumulative sales from January to November were 434,056 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 80%.

According to previous reports, in September this year, GAC Aion released its first overseas model, AION Y Plus, in Bangkok, Thailand. Gu Huinan, general manager of Aion Auto, said at the press conference that in the future, the brand will gradually realize localized production, sales and services in Thailand, helping Thailand accelerate to become the center of the electric vehicle industry in Southeast Asia.
