MemTest86 Plus, a popular memory testing software (not PassMark’s MemTest86), has finally gained Secure Boot support in the latest version 6.10.
Microsoft has made Secure Boot a mandatory system requirement for Windows 11. Previously, when users tried to run MemTest86 Plus on a PC with Secure Boot enabled, it would display the “Secure Boot Violation ” message.
The developer of MemTest86 Plus says:
"MemTest86 Plus binaries are not signed by Microsoft, so users need to temporarily disable Secure Boot in BIOS options. we are working on a better solution."
MemTest86 Plus version 6.10 has solved this problem and the software is normally in Windows 11 with the following updates.
- Add support for Secure Boot signatures
- Added support for Headless EFI systems
- Adds various command line options
- Adds support for legacy ATI SB400
- Fixes issues related to BadRAM mode
- Fix disabling SMP with F2 at boot time
- Fix crash issue on Supermicro X10SDV
- Various bug fixes and optimizations
