M2 MacBook Air Now Available for Same-Day Pickup at Eurasia Apple Stores

As the M2 MacBook Air goes on sale on Friday, Apple Stores in Europe and Asia are beginning to process orders. While a handful of pre-order customers are getting their first items in the mail, those who can’t wait can also take their chances at their nearest Apple Store—by placing an order on the Apple website or Apple Store app and arranging same-day pickup at their local retail store.

A quick check of Apple’s online store in the UK by MacRumors shows that most stores in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will almost always have stock available on launch day.

There are exceptions, of course, such as the Midnight Black, 256GB storage, 8-core GPU version, which will have to wait until Tuesday, August 16, for in-store pickup at the Apple Store in Scotland (and a similar wait time for online orders).

The delay in shipping the base configuration is also reflected in other European markets. Store pickup options in North America will be available at a later date. As for Apple Stores in Australia, they will not receive stock of any configuration until next Tuesday.

The M2 MacBook Air features a screenier edge design, a slightly larger 13.6-inch “bangs” screen, and an upgraded 1080p FaceTime camera.

It brings back not only the MagSafe magnetic charging port, but also two Thunderbolt 3 ports + a 3.5mm audio jack for high-impedance headphones.

In terms of color, the M2 MacBook Air comes in classic Silver and Space Grey, with Starlight and Midnight options.

Finally, the M2 MacBook Air starts at $1,199 ($9,499 in China) with optional up to 24GB of unified memory + 2TB SSD.

Meanwhile, the older M1 MacBook will still be available for $999 ($7,999 MSRP / $7,199 Education Offer).
