A few months ago, we reported that the Logitech G Cloud handheld gaming console was to launch with an Xbox game pass. After a series of leaks on the console’s specifications and design, it is finally available for pre-order on the manufacturer’s website. The full specifications and system requirements of this handheld gaming device are also available.

This device is the first console that Logitech G is rolling out, but the company is optimistic that it can perfectly handle the task it’s built for. Its specifications are a bit similar to that of a midrange Android device in terms of processor and operating system. The access to NVIDIA GeForce Now or Xbox Game Pass gaming cloud subscription services makes it stand out from any Android device that critics might compare it with.

The new Logitech G Cloud handheld gaming console comes with a 60Hz 7-inch IPS LCD touch screen display. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, this is not a problem since the games are available on the cloud. For an immersive audio experience while gaming, the console comes with clear stereo speakers and a microphone.

For its operating system, it runs Android 11 with full support for Google Mobile Service. This is one of the reasons critics tend to compare it with a midrange Android device. It also comes with support for other cloud gaming services like NVIDIA GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass, so gamers can also enjoy playing some Xbox-exclusive games with this device.

The controls on this handheld gaming console are similar to that on an Xbox wireless controller. Players can as well remap the control to suit their style of play. There are also sensors to help with the haptic feedback while gaming and to control the screen lighting in various conditions.

For connectivity, the new cloud gaming console from Logitech G supports Bluetooth 5.1 as well as Wi-Fi connections. The battery capacity on the device is 23.1Wh and might last a day on a single charge and light gaming. The company doesn’t state much about the storage on this handheld console, but it supports storage expansion with a TF card.

The design of this device is quite fancy and lightweight. There is provision for an arm grip at each side like with a regular gaming pad, this will help gamers access all controls easily. Also, there are four adaptive shoulder buttons, two on each side of this console, for a bit more power while gaming.

Logitech G Cloud handheld gaming console price and availability

This new handheld cloud gaming console is currently available for pre-order via the Logitech G website. The original selling price for this device is $350, but gamers can pre-order it for $299. There is only one colour option with this cloud gaming device, being White. Once it starts shipping, it will be a close competitor to the Nintendo Switch series.
