LG’s 2024 OLED TVs are getting a big processor upgrade with the Alpha 10 model number, lshd has learned.

In 2018, LG reportedly introduced the Alpha 9 processor for OLED TVs. The processor series has been enhanced over the years and is now available as Alpha 9 Gen 6. In addition, LG’s relatively inexpensive TVs are powered by Alpha 7 or Alpha 5 processors.

According to Etnews Korea, LG’s new TV chip will be called “Alpha 10” and will make its debut in LG OLED TVs in 2024. The new chip will feature a significantly stronger NPU with improved image analysis, noise reduction, object recognition, and AI-based audio enhancement. In addition, sources say the chip will also be used in other LG smart appliances.

As usual, LG will unveil its 2024 OLED TVs at CES in January 2024.
