Yesterday there were rumors that the Leica Q3 camera will be released in May or June 2023, and it seems that we will see new lens products appear before that.

LeicaRumors said that the Leica SL 100-400mm lens and the L-mount 1.4x teleconverter will be released this week, priced at US$2,500 (currently about 17,400 RMB) and US$999 (currently about 6,953 RMB).

The Japanese-made lens could reportedly be based on Sigma’s 100-400mm f / 5-6.3 DG DN OS, but it will also incorporate some of Leica’s own features. In addition, Leica may launch a second 2x rangefinder product this summer, with the next Japanese-made zoom lens.

The Sigma 100-400mm f / 5-6.3 DG DN OS lens is currently priced at $849 (currently about 5909 RMB) on Amazon, well below the aforementioned $2500 pricing. The lens has an aperture of 5~20mm, a maximum focal length of 400mm, a minimum focal length of 100mm, a filter size of 67mm, and weighs 1.13kg.
