Kioxia announced that it will launch the EXCERIA PLUS G3 series SSD in the third quarter of 2023, using PCIe 4.0 technology with a maximum capacity of 2TB.
Kioxia says this consumer-grade SSD is ideal for mainstream users of high-performance gaming PCs, desktops, and laptops, with a high price/performance ratio.
The EXCERIA PLUS G3 series features KIOXIA’s BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory TLC in an M.2 2280 type single-sided form factor for desktop and mobile systems.
The new hard drive will also support Kioxia’s SSD utility management software, which helps users monitor and maintain SSDs. The official price and release date have not been announced.
The features of EXCERIA PLUS G3 series SSD are as follows:
- Utilizes PCIe 4.0 and NVMe 1.4 technologies
- Sequential read and write speeds of approximately 5000 MB/s
- Single-sided M.2 2280 form factor
- Up to 70% improvement in power efficiency at maximum sequential read speeds compared to the previous generation EXCERIA PLUS G2 series
