According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s 20W USB-C charger shipments are expected to grow significantly by 30-40 percent year-over-year to 230-240 million units in 2023, benefiting from strong replacement demand.

The report that Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will optimize the fast charging performance of the MFi-certified charger for iPhone 15 and that the 20W USB-C charger is the most affordable option for iPhone users among Apple’s chargers, so there is strong demand for 20W USB-C charger replacements.

In addition, Ming-Chi Kuo said another possible reason for strong replacement demand is that future iPhone 15 users may not buy just one of Apple’s 20W USB-C chargers when they purchase them to meet their multi-location charging needs.
