The source leaf_hobby said that the 14th generation Core (Meteor Lake-S) has 20 PCIe Gen5 lanes, of which 16 lanes are dedicated to the GPU and 4 lanes are used for storage. He also said that the Z890 platform supports Wi-Fi 7 technology, which means that the Z890 motherboard will be equipped with Intel’s own latest Wi-Fi 7 wireless network card. Currently, Intel’s latest 13th generation Core only supports Wi-Fi 6E.

In addition, he also believes that the 14th generation Core and Z890 platforms support Windows 12.

At present, the release time of the 14th generation Core (Meteor Lake-S) desktop processor is unknown. It is reported that Intel will launch an upgraded version of the 13th generation Core in the third quarter of this year. The 14th-generation Core with an upgraded architecture will be released in the second quarter of next year.

It is reported that the 14th-generation Core will use the LGA-1851 socket, and its package size has not changed, and it is compatible with the LGA1700 socket radiator.
