The Intel NUC 12 mini computer family added a new member today, the NUC 12 Enthusiast, code-named “Serpent Canyon”, using the Intel Arc A series mobile discrete graphics card for the first time. This is also Intel’s fourth NUC product based on the 12th-generation Core platform. The previous three are:

  • NUC 12 Extreme (small desktop), Dragon Canyon, 12th generation Core S series desktop version + Arc A series desktop version (optional)
  • NUC 12 Pro (Commercial Edition), Wall Street Canyon, 12th Generation Core P-Series Mobile Edition
  • NUC X15 (notebook), Alder County, 12th generation Core H series mobile version, Arc A series mobile version

The volume of the NUC 12 Enthusiast is only about 2.5 liters, the measurements are 230 x 180 x 60 mm, there is an iconic skull LOGO on the top, RGB lighting effects, it can be replaced by yourself, and the four sides are covered with cooling grilles.

The processor can be selected up to i7-12700H, the graphics card can be selected up to Arc A770M, full of 32 Xe cores, 16GB video memory, and supports five-way 4K output.

Two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM memory slots with a maximum capacity of 64GB and optional Optane memory acceleration. Two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots, one M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4/SATA SSD slot.

The price is naturally not cheap. The 8GB+256GB starting version costs $1,699 (11,900 yuan), and the 16GB+1TB is as high as $1,944 (13,600 yuan).
