Hyundai released its “2025 New Plan” on November 5 to reach an annual sales target of more than 500,000 units in 2025.

Hyundai said that Hyundai is ushering in a new round of development climax in the global market. In the first half of this year, Hyundai Motor Group sold 3.299 million vehicles and rose to third place in the global sales ranking. At present, Hyundai has mastered electric, hydrogen, intelligent driving and other technologies to maintain high growth in the global new energy market. According to the report, BAIC Group and Hyundai Motor Group have reached a series of consensus on cooperation and jointly injected 6 billion, while promising to provide all the talents and technical support needed for the future development of Beijing Hyundai.

In terms of product system construction, Hyundai said it will accelerate the introduction of new products and top technologies of Hyundai Group, achieve full hybridization of fuel vehicles by 2025, and introduce new pure electric brands and new models, and at the same time, all new products are equipped with OTA technology and realize the intelligence of all products.

In terms of product matrix, Hyundai will build a hybrid product matrix of one MPV model, two sedan models and three SUV models. Hyundai will gradually shift the focus of its product system from fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles and apply 48V light hybrid and full hybrid to its sedans and SUVs. At the same time, Hyundai’s new generation TMED hybrid technology has been introduced to reduce fuel consumption by 15-20% for different products, which is currently applied in Tucson L hybrid, in addition to the world’s first ASC active speed control technology.

In the electric field, Hyundai has the pure electric platform E-GMP, which enables flexible product development across models and classes. Based on this platform, Hyundai will launch exclusive EV models in 2023, and will introduce 4-5 pure electric models in the next 2-3 years, striving to reach 200,000 units of annual sales of electric vehicle products.

Based on the development of remote download OTA technology, Hyundai announced the development strategy of converting all models to “software-centric cars” by 2025. Hyundai will also equip OTA technology in all newly launched products starting from the second half of 2023, and will realize OTA in all products by 2025.
