Recently, Hubei Unicom, together with Huawei, took the lead in building the first MetaAAU-based super uplink demonstration area in China, achieving continuous coverage in the bio-industrial park in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, by deploying 3.5G MetaAAU in a row. At the same time, SUL super uplink was opened and successfully applied to enterprise video monitoring service and personal HD live streaming service. After the opening of Super Uplink, the peak 5G uplink reaches 460Mbps, and the indoor far-point rate can be increased by up to 4 times compared with that before the opening, which brings exponential growth of downlink traffic.

It is understood that Super Uplink is a new technology to significantly improve the uplink capability of the network to meet the urgent demand of uplink large bandwidth for thousands of lines and common users in deep coverage scenarios, such as video surveillance and HD live broadcast, etc. MetaAAU is the latest generation of Massive MIMO (Massive Antenna) product which is greener and more energy efficient than traditional AAU.

MetaAAU is the latest generation of Massive MIMO (Massive Antenna) product, which is greener and more energy efficient than traditional AAU, and can better meet the coverage of county and hot rural farm scenarios.

The combination of MetaAAU and super uplink can help county cities achieve the effect of urban fine network coverage and meet the demand for large uplink bandwidth in industrial parks, providing a network guarantee to promote “5G+industrial Internet”, and also providing an effective reference for network construction in rural and rural hotspots.

In the future, Hubei Unicom will work with Huawei to apply 5G super uplink to more industries, explore super uplink coverage scenarios in rural and rural hotspots, and provide network support for local economic and industrial development.
