The Google Tensor G2 is the processor that will power the Pixel 7 series to launch in a few weeks. But, the geekbench score of this new processor from Google shows that its performance didn’t get much of an upgrade. This lack of an upgrade is relative to certain areas of the coming Tensor processor.

After some analysis of the Geekbench record for the Google Tensor G2, results show that it will use a similar CPU to its predecessor. According to the analyst, the configuration of the CPU On Google’s coming processor might be the same as last year’s Tensor processor. But what does this necessarily mean for those looking out to get the Pixel 7 series?

Since this information is not official and as a result of proper testing of the smartphone, we need to take it with a pinch of salt. But if it turns out to be the case with the Google Tensor G2 processor, we might see a very similar performance to the Pixel 6 series. Google might make up for this lack of a CPU upgrade if there is any with software optimizations.

It is good to note that the Geekbench score of the unreleased Google Pixel 7 Pro is higher than that of its predecessor. So, there are some improvements, but our sources argue that these improvements are not adequate. At this point, making any hasty conclusions about the performance of the coming Google Pixel series is not ideal until after adequate testing.
