Google Says Generative AI Models Will Soon Integrate with Search Results as It Tackles Microsoft and ChatGPT Challenges

Google Inc. said that generative AI models (Generative Model) will soon be integrated with search results, and from March will begin recruiting developers, creators and businesses to try out the Generative AI Model API.

Google said it will soon integrate artificial intelligence (AI) that can generate text and other content in search results as it grapples with the challenge of ChatGPT, a popular AI chatbot in which Microsoft has invested.

Alphabet’s Google has released its own chatbot service, Bard.

At a launch event in Paris, Google executive Prabhakar Raghavan said the so-called generative AI will enable users to interact with information in “a whole new way.

“This could help a local baker collaborate with a customer on a cake design, or help a toy maker conceive a new creation. As we continue to bring generative AI technology to our products, the only limit to search will be everyone’s imagination.”

Generative AI is used to make human-like creations through code, using large amounts of data to produce new text, video or audio pieces.

Google said it will soon allow more developers and partners to test Bard.

ChatGPT, OpenAI’s natural language processing model, was launched in November last year and is now taking the world by storm. The tool takes the form of a chatbot that answers questions in a conversational manner to help people generate code and various types of content.

Microsoft has launched a new version of its Bing search engine (https://www.bing.com/new) and Edge browser that integrates the recent hit ChatGPT technology developed by OpenAI, which Microsoft describes as being like having a research assistant, personal planner and creative partner while you search the Web.
